I have been attending Tai Chi classes conducted by John for over 2 years. John has a way of making the class interesting and enjoyable with his variety of warm up exercise routines. This is followed by learning a Tai Chi form, starting from the basics gradually progressing to the more advanced movements. So far we have thoroughly learned various Qi Gong and Tai Chi forms and we are currently learning Wudang Sanfeng Tai Chi 18 form.
Natural abdominal breathing is an important aspect of Tai Chi and Qi gong that John continues to remind us to breathe deeply in harmony with our movements. John is highly motivated in passing on his knowledge & skills and often stays back to provide additional tutoring.
He is an excellent Tai Chi & Qi Gong instructor with an in-depth knowledge in various aspects of Tai Chi discipline and martial arts.
He regularly demonstrates the practice of Tai Chi movement in self defence to demonstrate the meaning of the movement and the importance of correct alignment and posture. He continues to advance his skills by seeking out further training with Tai Chi Masters in China.
It has been a pleasure and great privilege to be taught by John. Tai Chi has helped me to build up self confidence and to maintain my physical fitness and well being in both body and mind.

John is a dedicated instructor of Tai Chi and Qi Gong. He also has a broad knowledge of other martial arts. During the past 4 years of lessons he has been patiently teaching us not only the forms, but also facilitating us to build up sound foundation for each movement with proper breathing.
The meditation practice at the end of each lesson is most helpful for relaxation.
In short you definitely achieve health preservation by attending John's class and benefiting from acknowledging and appreciating the self defence application of the forms of Tai Chi.

The first time I met John, I thought he was one of us in class. A student under Master Sue Chang. I found out later that he was actually Sue's assistant the whole time.
It is is his style of teaching that kept me in his class. He is very patient and very detailed. His teaching method is very suitable for a senior citizen like myself. I always enjoy his classes.
